Raymond English Trophy

In addition, the family of Raymond English, a prominent, well-respected, long-serving member of Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, who died aged 92 in October, are donating a trophy to be awarded each year to the most promising young person or youth group performing at the festival. The family has funded trophies in a modern design which will be kept by the recipients over the next decade.

Ray was always keen to help young folk appreciate music of all kinds so it is a great tribute to him that his daughter Jane and son Jonathan have given 10 of these handsome trophies to be kept by the winners each year.

The first award in 2019, selected by members of Bolsterstone MVC was given to the local youth singing group ‘No Identity’.
